About Gardero

Gardero is the gardening companion built for real outdoor gardens — the kind with fruit trees, rose beds, berry bushes, and that corner you've been meaning to sort out since last spring.

We combine local climate data with proven horticultural knowledge to tell you exactly what your garden needs, and when. No jargon, no confusion — just timely reminders personalized for where you actually live.

Features

Everything your garden needs in one app

Care timed by species, not season

Apple trees prune in winter. Sour cherries prune in summer. Roses depend on the variety. Gardero knows the difference and tells you the exact week — for your climate zone.

Built for the garden you inherited

Most plant apps assume you chose every plant. Gardero starts where most homeowners do — with a backyard full of unknowns and "what do I do with this?" The onboarding is built for figuring out what's already there.

Climate-zone aware

Every reminder is calibrated to your hardiness zone and growing season. A March pruning task in Köln is not the same task in Brno or Budapest. Gardero handles the difference.

Reminders that respect your time

One notification when something matters. No daily nudges, no anxiety-driven streaks, no manufactured engagement. Open the app when there's something to do.

Seven languages at launch

English, Czech, German, French, Dutch, Hungarian, and Polish — each written for the gardening culture of the region, not auto-translated from English.

FAQ

Common questions

Is Gardero free?
Yes, the core features are completely free. We may introduce optional premium features later, but you'll always be able to manage your garden without paying.
I've been gardening for years. Is Gardero just for beginners?
No. The headline speaks to first-time homeowners because that's who the app was designed around — but the underlying calendar works for any outdoor gardener with fruit trees, roses, berries, or perennials. Experienced users can skip the explanatory content and get straight to species-specific timing for their zone.
Which countries does Gardero support?
We're launching with Central and Western Europe in mind: Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, France, Hungary, and Poland. More countries are on the way.
Is this for indoor plants?
Think fruit trees, berry bushes, roses, and perennial beds. If you inherited a garden full of plants you didn't choose, Gardero is built for you.
How does climate personalization work?
We use your location to determine your climate zone and adjust all care recommendations to your local weather patterns. Every task, reminder, and planting window is tailored to where you actually live.
When does the app launch?
